Tonight marks the first night of Passover, a Biblically-derived Jewish festival celebrating the Israelites freedom from slavery in Egypt. Even though it is a celebration there are extra dietary restrictions imposed on the regular Kosher rules during the eight days of Passover.
Because Passover is mainly a joyous family holiday many of the most non-religious non-Kosher followers still follow the dietary restrictions. Which makes it so odd that in a video for the New York Times Magazine a meal is created with “Easter and Passover in mind” that couldn’t be more inappropriate for Passover. More
